From Santiago, take either the Baio/Vimianzo bus AUCASA (check to see that there is a transfer from Baio to Vimianzo either on the same bus or with VASQUEZ: the A Coruña to Fisterra bus goes through both Baio and, less frequently, to Vimianzo). Pick up or drop off in Santiago is 40 euros/airport 45 euros (Taxi 80 to 110 euros), but the bus is very easy.
I can pick you up in Vimianzo free of charge.
From Baio I ask for 10 euros to cover time and expenses (half the taxi fare).
From Finisterre: A Coruña bus stops in Vimianzo (via Cee), or I can pick up or drop off in Finisterre (Fisterra in Galego) for 20 euros, again half fare.
From Muxia: 10 euros for pick up or drop off please. (Taxi fare is 25 euros.)
Walking from Muxia: (highly recommended - 17 klms.)
Here is a Link to a Google Earth map of the area you will be walking. Scroll upwards and then right (north and then east) for Ponte do Porto and then due east for Carantoña.
You can see the river easily,
and just look at those beaches!
If you need pick up or drop off I ask the following: Baio bus or Muxia 10 euros, Fisterra 20 euros, Santiago/Santiago airport 40/45 euros for my car expenses and time (Coruña/Coruña airport the same but add 6 euros in tolls). These are half the taxi fares.
I offer car tours of the area I am proud to call my home. With me as your guide you can visit places you would never find through a tour operator let alone on your own. I can tell you the history of these places, let you experience them in a unique way. For that there IS a suggested AND SEPARATE donation of 15 euros for half a day/28 euros for a full day. Minimum three or donate accordingly if only two. I will also take you to the closest beach (7 klms in three directions) and pick you up later for 10 euros if that is how you wish to reflect. I can recommend the river walk. Even swim there though a bit cold. .

Are you considering a "Guided Camino"?
on this site. Competitive rates and a bit of luxury: After all, you're worth it!
Why make a reservation?
The Little Fox House may be the perfect spot for you to rest and relax before your journey home. At most there will be four other pilgrims here besides you and you will soon find your own little corner to read, write, get in touch with friends, make onward plans, walk along the river, or fish, or just dream the time away. It is up to you. I can take you to the beach for a small (extra)donation. If you want to be more active: I can even arrange a sailboat trip on the Ria, or horseback riding (even a trip to the go-cart track!). And in summer there are always Festas for you to dance the night away!
The only difficulty with this, of course, is that space is very limited. I have always said that those who need to be here will find me; but, don´t risk being disappointed. I can take reservations for THREE days with a maximum of three months in advance. The Camino runs on spontaneity and I don´t want to take that magic away. All I ask is that you contact me a week before your expected arrival to confirm. If by then you feel you might need two extra nights then it may be possible to accommodate you.
SORRY BUT THE VERY FEW HAVE SPOILED IT FOR THE MANY:
New "conditions" for a stay at The Little Fox House Post Camino retreat.
All reservations by e-mail only. Not Facebook. Address is on this page. You can still phone ahead to 981 730 842 or 686 315 328 to ask if there is space. Sometimes there is and I may be able to accept you. I will just ask you to coinfirm by e-mail.
Please pay a 25 euro deposit via PAYPAL if reserving more than 6 weeks before. www.thelittlefoxhouse.com
If you do not cancel before 7 days your deposit is non-refundable.
All reservations must be confirmed within 7 days of anticipated arrival. I hold a space plus 2 days either side of your reservation so you can still have a spontaneous (within reason) Camino experience.
No date changing after confirmation.
You will likely be refused and your deposit forfeit if you have paid one. If not, then at least make a donation to cover your expenses as food has been bought and someone else has been turned away!
Important: Please include in your request your reason(s) for wanting to stay at a post.Camino retreat. If this seems impertinent remember this is my home and I want all my guests to have the chance for a peaceful and reflective stay.
I will no longer take pilgrims who have walked from Sarria or Tui unless they can give me a reason (see above): physical issues are a good reason.
Yours may be another. Ask me. I am always open to individual needs. If you have an introduction from a pilgrim who has stayed here the chances are I will accept your reservation happily and welcome you warmly..
This year I hestitate to take groups, again for good reason. My experience with group members has not been a happy one. If you have paid to be in an organised group and stayed in hostals and hotels where you have your own room, this may not be the place for you as our accommodation is shared. There are, as always, a few exceptions. Again, try me.
I encourage the walk from Muxia. It is a shade under 17 klms along the sea and the river. It is beautful and easy. It is also an important part of the "re-entry" therapy process - taking that risk where the arrows are light green, not yellow, and the foxy faces are harder to find...like life. I even have a special fun certificate for you if you do that!
Please don't turn up with a couple of bottles of wine or a bag of groceries and assume that covers your donation. It does not. If you wish to buy for and cook for the WHOLE GROUP that is a very special GIFT to us all and much appreciated but again, it should not affect your donation. I do not have an open kitchen so don't ask to cook for yourself. Anyway, once you have tasted my cooking you won't want to. A boiled egg might be an exception . I am reasonable if nothing else!
